Would You Rather…Pay 40% more or shop online at current prices? (Important!)
This may not be the regular Mom’s Place Gluten Free type of blog. But these are important facts for you to know.
Have you noticed 5,000 Major Retail Stores Closing in 2017? Sears, Kmart, JCPenney, Macy’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Bebe, Guess, Crocs, Gap, Gymboree, The Limited, Wet Seal, Rue 21, Staples, Radio Shack, CVS, Payless Shoes, Toys R Us, GNC, Foot Locker, J.Crew, and many more. Why? Because shopping On-line and direct to the manufacturer (like Mom's Place Gluten Free) ALWAYS provides better selection & price.
In the ever-changing world of merchandising, the Gluten Free world has many new products entering the marketplace every week. Everyone is jumping on the gluten free bandwagon, trying to capitalize on gluten free consumers.
However, RARELY do these foods have the quality, texture and deliciousness offered by Mom's Place Gluten Free.
None are manufactured in a dedicated & certified Gluten Free facility, with ZERO preservatives, non-GMO, and no MSG’s.
However, here are the questions we need you to contemplate:
- Would you Rather have GF Foods cost more or less?
- Would you Rather eat GF Foods with high carbs or low?
- Would you Rather have high nutritional values or low?
- Would you Rather eat excellent tasting foods or just consume bland foods?
- Would you Rather have Convenience or Quality?
- Would you Rather pay 40% more or have our costs remain fair/low?
- We believe in offering high quality foods for a great price that taste delicious. But if that's not what you want. Tell us. The best way you can "tell" us, is by placing your consistent orders.
- I guess if you don't care, then don't place an order and we'll just close… Grrrrr…
Mom's Place was worked to grow organically-because good people have "shared the message". But in order to continue we have to make a choice--do we heavily pursue being placed into large grocery store chains--causing our consumers to pay over 40% more? Or do we hope online orders will continue to grow?
Some consumers seem to prefer convenience over price. (They'll pay 40% more in a store, because it's convenient.) But, I'm a mom, a wife, a grandma, and a very hard worker and have always been very conservative with our dollars, so I would be the one that would order direct from Mom's Place vs. paying 40% more, but is that the right strategy for the majority of our consumers?
Here's the issue… there are more and more high-carb, poor-tasting, gluten free convenience foods hitting the store shelves. I'll agree, they are convenient, but they won't help those eating gluten free to improve their health, repair the villi (Villi-normally allow nutrients from food to be absorbed through the walls of the small intestine into the bloodstream. Without healthy villi, a person becomes malnourished, no matter how much food one eats.) in our stomach lining and to lose weight and feel better. (Like Mom's Place products will…)
Please don't take us for granted, what would you do if tomorrow, you couldn't find our website? What would you do if we just closed; would you care?
We have wonderful consumers who walk into our store every day & are genuinely grateful for our products & what we are striving to accomplish. But for Mom's Place to remain sustainable, we need your help!
Eating Gluten Free means a true lifestyle change has to occur. People need to "cook like mom did". Use the crockpot more. Eat out less. Have meals as a family. Plan meals. Be organized. And eat Ancient grains that your body can recognize & digest. No preservatives. No GMO's. It's wholesome-not convenience. It's deciding to CHOOSE YOU vs. what the mainstream media tells us.
Mom's Place has put a strong emphasis on quality ingredients, great tasting, real food. We can't afford million dollar television commercials or endorsements. Have you watched the commercials lately? Prescriptions companies. Car Companies. And Gluten Free Dog Food. Those are the companies who can afford it? I guess they feel okay with elevating their product costs to consumers-who inevitably pay for those commercials.
But I'm not willing to increase Mom's Place product costs just to advertise. I'm not willing to charge consumers 40% more just so it's convenient. But if these are the wrong strategies, please tell us. Email us at:
email@example.com and tell us what's most important to you.
We'd like to also "add" to our Advisory Board seats. If you're willing to provide input on product development, advertising and product launches, please send an email to us at:
Each voluntary Advisory Board member will receive a 30% discount throughout their 4 month contribution period.
As you can tell… yes I'm frustrated with companies who have a zillion dollars to waste on advertising, who don't care about really helping consumers-like Mom's Place does.
I realize people want convenience, but I also hope they want quality & deliciousness. If you’re in that category, then please… shop! Spread the word! Help!?!
