I am putting up 2 recipes for Carmeled Apples, The first one is made using packaged carmels, the second one is from scratch. A couple of tips to get you off on the right foot. First wash and inspect your apples, store bought apples have a wax on them. Wash them in dish soap to remove that. Make sure that they are really dry. I like to use small apples so that my kids can eat them. A candy thermometer is a wise investment. I like to make sure that my apples are cool. Not so cold that they will condense thou.
